One of the big goals I set myself for the second half of 2018 was this: To get up to London more, and shoot in the city. I’ve spoken in detail about how I don’t believe you necessarily need to live in a big city to make it as a fashion photographer. You don’t. I’ve been working well in Cornwall with brands, and loving it.
However, I reached a point in the last few months where I was ready to take things to the next step. Cornwall will always have a huge place in my heart, and I adore shooting in that environment more than anything, but I know that if I want to take my career to where I know it can go, London is unavoidable. It’s where the models are. It’s where the brands are. It’s where the industry is. And it’s where I need to be much more frequently.
This photoshoot was the first step in that direction.
I booked a weekend in my diary where I’d be in London, found a team of people to work with, sourced a model, and came up with a concept. Safe to say, I’m thrilled with the results! I had an incredible weekend, and loved every minute of it. It made me hungry for more, and I’m excited to say I’m off to London in a few weeks time for more photoshoots of this nature.
I’m so excited to see where the next step in my career takes me. I’m open to anything, and ready for it. I hope you like these images as much as I do!
