It’s the start of a new season and here at Hugo Oliver we’re beginning to select our top bathroom trends for Spring 2017. We’ve noticed some of our old favorites popping up like warm metals and organic textures but we’ve also fallen in love with the monochromatic trend which we think looks incredibly fresh would also be easy to bring in to an existing bathroom. Keep reading to learn more about our favorite styles.

Fresh from the catwalk, monochrome is an easy trend to incorporate in your home each season. From bold to soft tones, adding in monochromatic colour is a simple trick to spruce up any room for springtime. The Annicco collection draws inspiration from Victorian designs and boasts a bevelled surface with a modern size, following current design trends. The result of this is a clear collection of bathroom tiles that are characterised by its beautiful shade, which will complement any bathroom.

Organic Glamour

This trend focuses on natural materials, botanical themes, mixed metals and soft pastel paints. The Roma stone Washbasin is a stunning and functional piece of artistic design – perfect for use where calming energy is needed. The deep colour is reminiscent of nature which gives a relaxing aura and the divine curvature of the bowl is carved solely from one piece of stone – making this product truly one-of-a-kind.

Rose Gold

A mixture of metals are proving prevalent in 2017, however the stand-out trends are Rose Gold and Copper. Mixing soft and warm-toned metals can make any bathroom exude elegance. By incorporating this trend in your spring update, you are sure to give your bathroom an exciting edge. This aesthetically pleasing floor-mounted bath-shower mixer kit by Bangnodesign can be found in Hugo Oliver’s  showrooms. The matt gold finish is a gentler version of gold. This in itself is a show piece. It exudes glamour. Beautiful yet understated; a gem or a mixer.

Bathroom Living

Make your bathroom a place where you would want to spend your time by incorporating comfortable pieces of furniture and fluffy towels. This “bathroom living” trend allows you to create an area in your home to enjoy at a leisurely, slow pace. Creating a bathroom to act as another living space works as an extension of your bedroom or living room, offering even more space to relax. Introducing a small cushioned chair or stool is a fantastic way to make your bathroom feel more comfortable. Don’t forget to add soft textiles like curtains and towels to add another element of restful cosiness. By using fittings that have delicate or tapered legs, your bathroom sanitary ware will immediately appear more like a piece of furniture and look a lot less utilitarian. A basin unit  built from a dark wood, with the grain showing through a dark stain you can achieve a handcrafted look.

Marble basins and shower areas have an elegant and classic design. Adding in your favourite soap and hand cream alongside a potted house plant will bring in some homey touches to the bathing areas in your bathroom; don’t forget to add in some soft hand towels too. This basin has been designed to resemble a half moon table, traditionally seen in period properties, making for a beautifully styled area to enjoy getting ready for the day.
